I really enjoyed it. I am planning doing it again next year.
I was very impressed with the event and was disappointed that more people had not heard of it. This is a terric community event and I hope it continues.
The courses, starts & finishes, timing, format, etc. were well thought out. I enjoyed watching the marathon start and portages, and it was great to be there on the water right next to the pros. Really made you realize how fast they were going.
Great that you recognized all the pond racers and the Fun Race winners, as well as the big races. (I still can't believe we got trophies!) That made everyone, especially the kids, really feel like part of the action.

Your website provided everything including downloadable maps of the course. Living close I was able to come to the park for a couple weeks prior and train.
With all the events the schedule was thought out very well. Didn't really see any problems. Definitely liked the lunch afterword.

I really feel like '05 Paddlefest was instrumental in bringing good people and families together, Mr. and Mrs. Sawyer as well as the rest of the staff really did a fantastic job,I feel proud to say that I was there no matter how long the drive was.
The whole Padlefest staff was on top of their game. Congratulations and thank you for making this event a pleasant experience, because you guys did make all this possible, and everybody noticed.

Keeping the legacy of canoe/kayak alive, bringing people and entire families together and having great fun while you are there is a priceless experience.

I loved seeing families having fun together.
We were pleased. Our kids had a great time. Our reason for attending was to introduce our girls to something new. Not only are the girls now eager to do more things like this, so is my husband. He wants to rent kayaks and try his hand.
I think we may look into buying a kayak now!
Refreshments were yummy-hit the spot with the hot weather.

Volunteers were very helpful and easy to find in red shirts.
I had a great time getting sweaty. Goal is to purchase my own kayak and use the river to improve my new skills.
