The North American C-1 Championship Series will make its debut in 2003. The Series will include three already-established races in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Indiana.

The race series is expected to draw the top canoe racing competitors through out North America. The three participating races have in the past drawn competitors from Nebraska to Arkansas to Pennsylvania to Canada.

While the format for each individual race is somewhat different, the overall series champion will be determined by the highest total points accumulated over the three races.

Each of the three Series races offers a unique venue and distinctive event format.
