Needs and Plans For This Year
Monetary donations to the South Bend Paddlefest will be used to fulfill the following needs and plans. Your organization can support Paddlefest by giving money or by donating time, service, or products.
- Prize money for the elite marathon racers. Racers placing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each racing class will receive cash prizes.
- Gift prizes for the winners of each race class in the Fun Race. Does your company have the ideal product to give away to winners?
- Food and drink for all racers and volunteers. We need high-energy snacks, water, and sports drinks. We also want to provide a post-race lunch for all racers and volunteers.
- Entertainment--we need music, bands, singers, performers!
- Sound System for entertainment, Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony, announcements, sponsor "commercials" and the raffle.
- Raffle--Following the Awards Ceremony, we will have a raffle of select outdoor/sports/recreation/adventure items.
- Print Advertisement
--We need to promote the South Bend Paddlefest via posters, flyers, brochures, newspapers, and magazines.
- Official Race Program will include highlights of the race, profiles of the elite marathon racers, ads from the sponsors, band/singer bios, etc. This will be given out on the day of the race to all racers, sponsors, volunteers, and spectators.
- Office supplies We'll need paper, folders, envelopes, result board, etc. for mailings, registration, results, data files, registration packets, and promotional materials.
- Personal Care Services Sell your services to our racers. At the USCA Nationals in Atlanta, GA, massage therapists sold massages to the weary racers. A very welcome luxury!
