What a perfect day for Paddlefest 2004! We had a great turn-out for all our races. We were especially excited with our Michiana Media Anchor Challenge. Fox 28, WSBT, U93, WVPE, and B-100 were all well represented in this fun competition. Michael Linville of WVPE pulled in first place for championship of the Anchor Challenge 2004! I'd have to say Otis of U93 provided endless entertainment for the spectators with his zig-zagging paddling strategy and unique backwards finish. Charlie Adams of WSBT with wife Nancy and JR of B100 with fiance Brandon Ottow could surely attest to the closely-bonding experience that canoeing provides for couples. And, Fox 28 wins the participation award for entering two teams--Mike Brookbank and Jamie Angelo in one canoe and Paul Baltes with Mariel Sykes in another.
Paddlefest 2004 would have been impossible without the hard work of all volunteers and the support of all our sponsors. Thank you to all!
